Combining an industry leading comprehensive view of Internet traffic from 14 billion real user measurements a day, extensibility of integrations with dozens of leading data sources, and flexibility of customer-controlled algorithms to define traffic rules, the Cedexis ADP uniquely empowers leading Operations teams to centrally manage and optimize dynamic distributed infrastructures.
Traditional networks, based around physical hardware placed in data centers, often rely upon Application Delivery Controllers (ADC) to load balance and manage traffic within a single location. Modern network infrastructure; however, is powered by a mixture of physical data centers and public infrastructure (including clouds, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), IAAS and PAAS). Such infrastructures demand load balancing and global traffic management that can span many sources and vendors, is dynamic by nature, and makes decisions based not only on the load carried by each server, but also on the real, measurable customer experience.

At the core of the Cedexis ADP is the Radar community, which takes more than 14 billion real user (RUM) measurements daily to build an accurate virtual map of the flow of Internet traffic. Analyses of this data feed the Openmix traffic manager, which then ranks the traffic options according to network performance. Meanwhile, a combination of the Cedexis Sonar synthetic monitoring service, and the Fusion integration engine (with its connection to dozens of 3rd party data sources), injects additional intelligence into the decision-making process, ensuring servers are available, and that customers are making the most economic decisions. This results in traffic decisions based on the business needs of the customer, which can include any combination of end-user experience, 3rd party data points, or operational cost considerations.
